Pink-Red Gradient Patch on Blue Pants

One of my favorite pairs of pants tore at the thigh, so I tried visible mending for the first time. Instead of hiding the damage, I used warm-toned embroidery thread with a pink-red gradient to highlight the repair against the blue of the pants. The gradient fill was built up with short satin stitch passes and outlined in green. It’s not subtle, and that’s the point.
