This embroidery piece was the result of a free class I took at a local community center. The project started with a fabric pencil outline of a stylized arrow sign with the word “Tupelo” in the center. The design was pre-drawn by the instructor, giving everyone a consistent base to work from.
From there, I focused on defining the edges with clean outlines. I used bright, contrasting thread colors to fill the arrow in bold diagonal stripes and made the letters pop with gold and red tones. The post at the bottom was added last to ground the design and complete the sign look.
